Truths of Storytelling

Suspense is what moves our novels forward. Suspense keeps your plot moving. As your plot grows the suspense gets bigger causing the book to get to the tipping point, the aha moment.

Do not just tell your readers whats happening but show them.
For example:
Telling-  Sara is crazy.
Showing-  Sara has to line up everything into a perfect angle even if it’s in the way where its messy or could cuase harm. Just yesterday, she moved the living room table into an angle, til Dad walked into it not looking. He tells her not to..yet she still does.

Keep your reader hooked by allowing them to see or know what your character knows til you want them too.

Add surprise to your book. By having the good character actually be the bad guy in the end!
