At 25 years old, River Hayden has experienced the low’s of life that few will ever see. A casualty of her family’s circumstances, of past boyfriends, of the hand that the universe dealt her, this auto-biography is Hayden’s chance at seeing her days as a victim end. Follow her story and how she was able to overcome her past, to pick up the pieces and find the life she has always wanted.

My Review:

The Road to Becoming a Survivor by River Hayden is a must read for all. This nonfictional piece is told in first person by the author, herself. I found it interesting from the first sentence and soon, I was led to the last page. The entire read was simple and easy to follow through. Anyone can easily read this and understand everything, that went on and the emotions hidden, inside the person telling the story. A story of how one woman finally found the courage to talk about what happened. She didn’t want to be a victim any longer. She realised, that she was relying heavily upon her man. This was definitely the most inspirational book I have read yet. A real person’s journey to surviving. Readers will connect instantly with the writer as her story unfolds. We want to sympathise, cry, and shout of for joy for this talented yet wonderful woman. We see first hand her troubles, her recognition of what’s really going on, and her determination to get help. I was speechless.  I don’t know what I would have done, if I were in this young woman’s shoes let alone have her courage and self determintation, to succeed like she did. Absolutely amaing. The Road to Becoming a Survivor is not only an inspiration to us all but also, a guide the shows us that we can survive no matter what happens.  Overall, I highly recommend this read to readers world wide.
