Review: Anything for You

Synopsis:

Before you get down on bended knee…

…you should be pretty darn sure the answer will be yes. For ten years, Connor O’Rourke has been waiting for Jessica Dunn to take their on-again, off-again relationship public, and he thinks the time has come. His restaurant is thriving, she’s got her dream job at Blue Heron Vineyard—it’s the perfect time to get married.

When he pops the question, however, her answer is a fond but firm no. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? Jess has her hands full with her younger brother, who’s now living with her full-time, and a great career after years of waitressing. What she and Connor have is perfect: friends with an excellent benefits package. Besides, with her difficult past (and reputation), she’s positive married life isn’t for her.

But this time, Connor says it’s all or nothing. If she doesn’t want to marry him, he’ll find someone who does. Easier said than done, given that he’s never loved anyone but her. And maybe Jessica isn’t quite as sure as she thinks…

My Rating: 5 stars

My Review:

Kristan Higgins latest novel, Anything for You, is a must read. Brilliantly written and well-developed, readers will love this new romance. Every woman dreams of the moment the man of her life proposes to her. Yet, here is one man all down on bended knee and the answer is no. Readers will be puzzled as to why a woman would say no to a good man prosing with a wedding ring. So, the answer is no. Now what? Readers’ interest will pique as the hot sexy alpha male decides to give his woman two choices. Either she says yes to his proposal or he will go find another woman to share his life. However, Kristan Higgins has created a lead female character who appears out going and strong on the outside yet inside she has fears just like the rest of us. I love the characters and their dilemma is definitely one that will keep readers turning the pages. Anything for You is fresh, exciting, and memorable.

Anything for You is a contemporary romance story that will drag readers from their seats and into the plot. A man proposes to his girlfriend. But the proposal goes exactly opposite of not what he thought but also, what readers think will happen. Kristan Higgins creates beautiful tales that bring to life real situations. Situations that can easily go under within seconds. Readers will feel both character’s emotions as if they were experiencing the humilation and stubbornness themselves. Readers will be in for a huge surprise. The ending was nothing like I thought, yet it held everything I postively looked for in this story. I enoyed following both Jess and Conner as the journey blossomed. Overall, I highly recommend this romance to readers everywhere.
