Review: A Wicked Hunger

A hundred years after vampires revealed themselves to the masses, the world is still recovering from the hysteria and war that devastated much of the Earth. And though peace has been brokered between the human and vampire nations, it is tumultuous at best.

Orphaned at the age of ten, Coraline Conwell has struggled to survive a turbulent existence growing up alone on the harsh streets. Until a wealthy man provides an escape from her vagrant life by offering his hand in marriage. Out of place in the upper-crust world, Cora has done her best to adapt to her new role as wife, but when her husband is brutally murdered, she is ripped from her secure life at the hands of the Vampire Enforcement Agency.

Now her survival teeters on the whim of a brutally handsome vampire named Mason as she is hunted by those who would see her dead. She must keep unwanted desires for the sexy vampire from leading her down a dangerous path while she discovers there is more to this world, and herself, than she could have ever imagined.

My Rating: 5 stars

My Review:

A Wicked Hunger by Kiersten Fay is one smoking hot read. Readers will be dragged instantly into the novel. At first, readers are taken on one woman’s journey of seducing her husband to her being shot at and then to find that her husband is dead. But that’s not all. Someone wants her dead. Cora ends up finding herself being taken into protective custody by none other than a hot sexy vampire. One that feel the spark of attraction when he first spotted her in nothing more than a coat and sexy lingerie.  Mace is on a mission to take Cora’s husband alive as a prisoner for criminal actions but then all hell breaks loose. Soon, he takes Cora into his care. Along the way their lust and something else begins to develop. As for Cora, her crazy yet dangerous journey as only just begun. Kiersten Fay is a superb writer with skills that will heat up the night and send a shiver down readers’ spines. This was the first novel, I have read by her and I highly recommend it to all. The ending will only leave readers begging for more. I can’t wait to read her next masterpiece. (Warning this read will create a wicked hunger for more novels by Kiersten Fay.)
