Review:

What was funny, was that I just got done watching the history channel about the Khan and then was provided a chance to review this title. It was definitely fate that brought me to this magnificent read. Heavenly Khan by Victor Cunrui Xiong is an extraordinary historical novel that will have readers traveling back in time when the Khan were alive. These moments with the Khan are one of China’s greatest historical time periods. I found it quite intriguing and fascinating as the history came, to life, on these well-written pages. Heavenly Khan is about the dangers that were presented to China that brought them to building up their army as well as their defenses to keep out their attackers.

Heavenly Khan is about the dangers that were presented to China that brought them to building up their army as well as their defenses to keep out their attackers. Li Shimin was a military leader that proved to a wonder for China. He made his way up to being an emperor and one that was well-respected. The cultures, religions, and ways of the Chinese will sway readers from the beginning and keep them hooked until the end. Victor Cunrui Xiong stunningly brings his readers an era full of political scandal, upheaval, and the struggles of the Chinese courts. History is one of the best topics that anyone can fill their minds with…and Heavenly Khan is definitely a must read for readers everywhere. Overall, I highly recommend this historical novel to readers worldwide.
