Review: Oliver and Jumpy

Synopsis:

Oliver is an elegant tuxedo cat, who is full of himself. As a matter of fact he says: “I love myself!”, quite often. Naughty, isn’t he? But his best friend Jumpy, a kangaroo lady, is aware that he has a soft heart and will always want to help others. The great thing is Jumpy’s pouch, which Oliver loves to ride in! He calls her his kangaroo taxi! These little bedtime stories with their lovely illustrations are great for small kids. A parent can read the text and tell the child in his own words. These animal stories have sufficient text to keep early readers happy and provide some educational value. Love you all! Meow!

Story 52: Oliver the Babysitter – Oliver has to look after his sister’s kittens.

Story 53: Smoke over the Sea – The friends have amazing adventures on an island in the sea.

Story 54: Raindrop – The journey of a raindrop.

Review:

Oliver and Jumpy Stories 52-54 make another excellent children’s book. The book like the others before was beautifully illustrated. Each colorful illustration went perfectly with each fascinating tale. Children everywhere will love this new title. Werner Stejskal has once again lured me into his world of fiction. Oliver is a cat and Jumpy is a kangaroo. Both are best friends. Each of them travel to different places and have fun adventures. In this exciting new tale, Olive and Jumpy learn about fire, water droplets, and get to experience babysitting family members. Funny, sweet, and intriguing. This book is highly entertaining as well as engaging. Children will not only enjoy the fun times ahead but learn about different topics as well. Educational and pure enjoyment. Oliver and Jumpy are the best. I highly recommend Werner Stejskal’s well-told stories to readers everywhere. He truly knows how to keep readers interested with each new book.
