Review: Snow Job

Synopsis:

Natalie Duncan is caught off guard and on the road over the Christmas holiday by a blinding snowstorm. In an act of desperation, she picks up a hitchhiker along the mountain pass. When night closes in and the storm worsens, they take refuge in an abandoned cabin to wait out the blizzard.

Russ Crew is instantly attracted to Natalie, but the gold band on her finger stops him from pursuing her.

Natalie, a widow, is also drawn to him except the difference in their ages convinces her that he’s a nice guy simply being polite. Due in part to their desperate situation they form an emotional bond that soon turns physical. But once the snow melts, can they make a relationship work in the world outside their ramshackle cabin?

Review:

Snow Job by Kelly Fitzpatrick is an adventure of a lifetime. For both Natalie and Russ it was definitely a life changing event. Both got stuck and stranded in a snow storm. Leaving them inside an ugly, cold, and dirty cabin. One that had no running electricity, water, or food. Freezing their butts off and starving they eat spam and use snow for water. Struggling to survive the duration of the storm. Something more happens. Sending Natalie and Russ feeling hotter than coals on a fire. Lust. Romance. Emotions that neither wanted to feel occur. Strangers helping each other. However, when the storm ends will their hearts be one or broken?

Kelly Fitzpatrick has created a contemporary romance novel that is both funny and sweet. An older woman keeps herself from letting the best thing ever happen. Love. Russ is a bit younger than her. That alone fuels her energy to keep the distance. But their chemistry is so intense, Natalie can’t deny it. Sex. She can’t forget him even if she tried. Her heart says yes. But her mind says no. She leaves him. However, Russ isn’t ready to call it quits. Broken heart or not, he searches until he finds her again. Natalie was easy to relate to as well as like. She’s a mother figure trying to be the best for her teenage daughter. She wants to hold her daughter forever, but knows it’s time to let go. Russ likes Natalie and her daughter. The daughter is sursprisingly smart for her age. Like a mini version of her mom. Russ comes to love them both and is willing to convince Natalie that. Only Natalie is fighting it all the way…Overall, I highly recommend Snow Job to readers everywhere.
