THE TOURIST is a masterpiece of suspense and a gripping new spin on the time travel story.
THE FUTURE HAS ALREADY HAPPENED.
It is expected to be an excursion like any other. There is nothing in the records to indicate that anything out of the ordinary will happen.
A bus will take them to the mall. They will have an hour or so to look around. Perhaps buy something, or try their food.
A minor traffic incident on the way back to the resort will provide some additional interest – but the tour rep has no reason to expect any trouble.
Until he notices that one of his party is missing.
Most disturbingly, she is a woman who, according to the records, did not go missing.
Now she is a woman whose disappearance could change the world.
With breathtaking plot twists that ricochet through time, this is the most original conspiracy thriller you will read this year.
The Tourist by Robert Dickinson is a conspiracy thriller. However, it was more of a time-travel adventure. The beginning of this book was well-done. The suspense was great. It intrigued me in a way, that I wanted to learn more. But as the story progressed, I felt confused. I didn’t really know much on the prisoner who was trapped or why. Then, the prisoner is asked to go on a mission, but it didn’t exactly know if he or she was going to free afterwards. The prisoner’s identity remained hidden longer than I would have liked. This was the first book I have read by Robert Dickinson. The plot was centered around a bus trip to see the 21st century. The tour guide preferred the 19th century. The time eras were hard to follow along at times. Something unknown was going to happen but the tour guide wasn’t sure what nor why. A tour member goes missing and that’s what the whole story is centered around…the missing woman.
