Synopsis:
New York Times bestselling author Brenda Novak returns to Silver Springs with a moving story about rebuilding your life when you’ve got nothing left to lose
Savanna Gray needs a do-over. Her “perfect” life unraveled when, to her absolute shock, her husband was arrested for attacking three women. With her divorce settled, she takes her two children home to Silver Springs to seek refuge between the walls of the farmhouse where she was born. It needs a little TLC, but she’s eager to take control of something.
Gavin Turner understands the struggle of starting over. Abandoned at a gas station when he was five, it wasn’t until he landed at New Horizons Boys Ranch as a teen that he finally found some peace. He steps up when Savanna needs help fixing things—even when those things go beyond the farmhouse.
Despite an escalating attraction to Gavin, Savanna resolves to keep her distance. She trusted her ex, who had a similarly tragic background, and is unwilling to repeat her past mistakes. But it’s hard to resist a man whose heart is as capable as his hands.

Review:
Brenda Novak is the best! She has done it again…honestly, I love this writer’s talent. Never has she written a bad book yet. Her characters are swoon worthy and easy to love. Their troubles swallowed me up whole. I cried, laughed, and cheered them on…Right Where We Belong fits the new novel perfectly. It’s about where the two main protagonists end up and where they find their happiness.
Life has been traumatic, insane, and troubled for both characters. Savanna Gray finds out her husband has been raping women instead of working. Her shock goes unnoticed by the people where she has lived. Her kids are being targeted because of what their dad did. Finally arrested, Gordon Gray is where he belongs. But the police need more evidence to keep him there for a long, long time.
Gavin Turnerhas been abandoned and neglected his whole life by people who should have loved him. His stepmother left him in a park until the police found him. He was then, placed into foster care. His father was never around…now, he is grown and found a woman who is like a mother to him. She really cares. Because of that, Gavin can live a positive life. Until a crazy woman comes back into his life. Just when he thinks she’s gone…she comes back when he likes someone else.
His next door neighbor and her two kids have a way of entering his heart…
Gavin is romantically interested in Savanna…
Savanna likes Gavin more than she should. Should she stay away? Or is it fate?
Overall, Right Where We Belong is a perfect romance. A contemporary that captures the harsh realities of life and spins them into both a heartbreaking and charming tale. Brenda Novak has a way of spelling her readers, like me, into her books. Superb, sweet, and a beautiful story. This, was definitely a memorable piece. I highly recommend it to all.
