Review:
Lone Wolf Lawman by Delores Fossen is a wonderful romantic intrigue story. I loved the characters! They were easy to understand, like, and had me cheering for them. The bad guys were believable too. My only complaint was how fast a character appeared and then, just as quickly disappeared without knowing what happened to him. That part is driving me nuts. At first, I thought, well maybe, I went through the book too fast. So, I went back and still couldn’t find him…I wanted to cry out in frustration. That was just plain mean to tease me with that character. He was planning to use himself as bait and that’s the last I read about him…
Okay, so the main characters were really great. First, there is Addie. She finds out that she is a serial killer’s daughter. Wow! I can’t imagine what I would do, if that were me. Then, about that same time she finds that out…a man appears in her life. His plan was to find out what she knew of her dad. Apparently, she may hold memories that could identify her father. This same man ended up changing Addie’s life. Addie is in real danger from a bunch of criminals…and they might have been hired by her serial killer father.
Second, there is Weston Cade. He is a Texas Ranger. However, he leads Addie to believe he’s just a normal cowboy hanging around…what he didn’t plan on doing was making love to her. Yet, he did not once but many times. Something about her has him stuck by her side. Yet, he disappears from her not too soon after their love making. Addie then, hates him and so does her adoptive brothers. Jax and Jericho. These brothers are also lawmen.
Lone Wolf Lawman is sexy, haunting, and suspenseful. I enjoyed reading this book. Delores Fossen has proven that she can indeed write a stunning tale. I got lost within the first chapter. A journey about a young pregnant woman being targeted for reasons not sure of, and her past lover comes to her rescue. Then, there’s the twists and turns that pop up, keeping readers like myself guessing who and why. The sole focus is keeping Addie alive and catching the bad guys, especially her father. This piece of fiction left me with a taste for more of these characters. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series holds. Overall, I highly recommend it to readers everywhere.
