Verity and her boyfriend, Ellis, want to escape their town and have a romantic getaway. However, Frankie convinces Verity to let him tag along so he could seduce his lady ghost friend. Then, there’s the other ghosts she meets while on the train. The train they’re on, is new except for the bell that was rummaged from the original Sugarland Express train. That train had several mishaps, like murder and taking all of its passengers down into the river…so many died that day. Now, with the original bell attached to the new Sugarland Express train, the ghosts are being called back to the living world. There, Verity, Ellis, and Frankie will have their hands full trying to solve the past and current murders. Plus, if they’re not fast enough, they may all die in a train wreck…
Angie Fox sure knows how to engage readers like myself. I was hooked. The plot kept me guessing, laughing, and rooting for Verity and Frankie. Ellis was a major help in solving the murders too. Being a cop, Ellis, is always answering his calling. The romance between Ellis and Verity felt real. I love this couple. No matter what happens they stick through it. Overall, I highly recommend this paranormal romance mystery to all.
