Review:
A Season to Celebrate is a collection of sweet romantic tales that melt the heart. I was deeply engaged in each of the novellas offered in this set. This collection dished out funny yet charming stories. The writers are just some of my favorites and after reading this book, I only loved reading their work even more.
In Christmas Homecoming, I followed a young soldier coming back home after so much time away. His family was so excited to have him back that there was a big hero welcome for him. Put him on spot. It was adorable. I liked his family. Then, while working his family’s tree business he meets a young woman with a daughter. Sparks fly and I kept on hoping…
An Unexpected Gift showed me that no matter how old we are, there’s always a second chance at love. I loved how supportive the main character’s family was just like in the previous tale. Except this time, the man and woman were much older and both were widowed. The grandkids popping in at certain times, had me bawling over with laughter. So much humor, love, and hope were shown here. Patience is also the lesson.
Christmas in Blue Hollow Falls featured a young couple again. Except these two had a much more interesting way of meeting each other. Instant attraction-double check. Sassy heroine-check. Hot stud for a hero-check. An Aussie chef comes to a lawyer’s aid when another man takes it too far in the bar. Only this fight led the Aussie man fighting for his rights with the hot lawyer beside him. The lawyer had her heart broken once and is not sure if she’s ready to let it out there again. But the Aussie chef shows her that life is not meant for hiding away alone.
Holiday Homerun is exactly as it sounds. This sexy hot Christmas tale, brings a stud baseball pro and a Puerto Rican woman together. At first she dismisses the attraction only for him to keep trying. He isn’t ready to let go of what could be the best thing in his life. Everything about her lures him in like a moth to a flame. This irresistible story had my cheeks flushing red from the heat radiating from the pages.
