Most people would prefer not to try to understand what passes between a man and a woman when they are alone: alone in bed, alone in an embrace, alone in an elevator… Or alone in the moonlit courtyard of an Oxford college, where a girl once stood before a boy, heart pounding with excitement, then fear. Anatomy of a Scandal by Sarah Vaughan is a deep read. A woman knows her husband is flawed and has done some bad things. Yet she cannot believe the new lies about him. She is determined to stay be his side and fight for their family. However, the doubt is there and it gradually builds. Then, there’s another strong woman who fights the man in court. He has committed several crimes. He got away once, but now, he may just get the punishment he deserves. The drama is high and well-played. The scenes grew more intense with every page.
