Review: The Kingdom

The Kingdom (Graveyard Queen #2)

Deep in the shadowy foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains lies a dying town.

My name is Amelia Gray. They call me The Graveyard Queen. I’ve been commissioned to restore an old cemetery in Asher Falls, South Carolina, but I’m coming to think I have another purpose here.

Why is there a cemetery at the bottom of Bell Lake? Why am I drawn time and again to a hidden grave I’ve discovered in the woods? Something is eating away at the soul of this town, this withering kingdom, and it will only be restored if I can uncover the truth.

Rating: 5-stars

The Kingdom by Amanda Stevens is by far one of the greatest paranormal ghost stories I’ve read. The writer has a way with her words. I could feel, sense, sympathize, and fear what the characters were going through. The plot was entertaining. From fear and suspense, to humor and romance. It was all there. The cast was a variety of characters. Their personalities made it more dimensional. Before I knew it, I was at the end of this book. The Kingdom hooked me right in. I was lost.

Inside, readers will find a young woman, who grew up in a graveyard. She became what she is known for, the Graveyard Queen. Just like her father, she restores graveyards and their tombstones to perfection. Each book in this fun series, features a new graveyard. Every graveyard has its secrets and its own demons. Haunted, chaotic, and interesting, this book was out of this world.
