Review: A Surprising Friendship

A Surprising Friendship

A Surprising Friendship is a heartwarming story of Zoey the Canadian goose and Henry the Black bear that celebrates diversity. Their fun and shared adventures show how differences can be overcome with kindness, acceptance, and a willingness to discover what we have in common with others who are not like us.

Rating: 5-stars

A Surprising Friendship by Andrew Wald is a super cute children’s book. One that shows a strange friendship by a goose and bear. Yet it does happen. I liked how the story showed how two different animals can be friends despite all their differences. Kindness is and acceptance are major themes displayed in the book. Also, the two animals shared many likes. A few of those things included: swimming, playing, and eating fish. Overall, the colorful illustrations inside went beautifully with the story.
