Seven Ghostly Spins: a brush with the supernatural

Synopsis:

Seven Ghostly Spins is a mind-bending collection of paranormal tales, based on harrowing legends and nightmares come true… They will creep under your skin and stay with you, long after you’ve read them.

ALISON—They say, no self-respecting theater house is without its ghost.
And Ogden’s historic movie palace is as respectable as they get.
The friendly ghost of Alison, described as having shoulder length hair, reportedly haunts the boxes in the rear of the theater, though there have also been sightings of her playing a piano, turning lights on and off, and occasionally sitting next to a lucky patron in the audience.

BY THE IRON GATE—When isolated from the bustle of civilization, the mind slips unfettered. Especially a child’s.
…A flight of fancy; triggered by a real nightmare, and a real walk in the moonlight.

SHE CAUGHT A RIDE—Gone but not Forgotten
If you dare, go ahead and visit Florence Louise Grange’s grave in the Ogden City Cemetery. But do you know the secret signal?

ABIKU—Wanderer child. It is the same child who dies and returns again and again to plague the mother. –Yoruba belief
A paranormal thriller in which a seventeen-year-old boy unwittingly summons a demon across the sea. Before he’s able to banish him, the demon claims the life of two innocent people.

A CURSE LIFTED—Experience the power of a parting gift.
—a moment in time, dear to my heart, and a gift I will be thankful for, for the rest of my life.

205 ½ 25th STREET—a haunting, paranormal encounter featuring the legendary Rosetta Duccini Davie; the seductive madam of the most elegant brothel on Two-Bit Street in the mid 1940’s: The Rose Rooms.

CAROLINA BLUE—an anguished scream, a wisp of blue… She’s on the railroad tracks.
The well-known legend tells the story of a jilted woman who could not live with a broken heart, but the tale whispered to me involves so much more.

Review:

Seven Ghostly Spins by Patricia Bossano is an out of this world reading experience. It’s a collection of seven paranormal stories that have captured my full attention. I fell for the characters and was hooked each time. Patricia Bossano is a talented writer. Every reader can see that as they dig further into her latest book, Seven Ghostly Spins. There are  stories that are based on real things/events and those stories truly make this an even more interesting collection to have.

I was amazed by how well-written and how fleshed out the characters and their short stories were. For stories that are this short, it’s difficult for writers to make a big impact the way Patricia Bossano has. She captured the emotional, physical, and mental aspects in every story. Dark, suspenseful, and entertaining-this collection is a must read for all paranormal mystery fans. I loved the suspense and the surprise twist of fate.
