Review:

Tough Talking Cowboy by Jennifer Ryan has some strong themes throughout this book. Those include: darkness and light, death, and family. It’s also about second chances for some of the protagonists. A sister is facing the risk of losing her twin to drugs. A man and his wife are struggling to keep their love and marriage intact. He comes back from war only for the divide to become greater. With it, he feels only pain and loss. Drake felt like he will spend the rest of his life alone and unwanted. Adria understands pain and loss more than anyone else. She saw through Drake’s pain. She saw the man he is. Together, they find something worth chasing…but will it be enough or strong enough to last a lifetime?

I was hooked with this emotionally packed story. Jennifer Ryan made me cry so hard. Her characters felt so real. The minor characters helped bring this story to life as well. They each added to this powerful tale. Love conquers all and it is through pain that they find strength. As much as there was grief and loss, there was also healing and new beginnings. Overall, this was a phenomenal romance!
