Review: A Reckless Love

A Reckless Love (Daughtry House, #3)

In the fine tradition established by her Southern grandmama, Aurora Daughtry has recently orchestrated the marriage of her eldest sister and facilitated her middle sister’s engagement. She also rejoices in her part in transforming the family’s dilapidated plantation manor into a luxurious and lucrative resort hotel. Just when it seems there is nothing left to absorb her considerable talent for managing people, in walks federal deputy marshal Zane Sager.

But Zane is not at Daughtry House for a vacation. He’s tracking a killer and collecting two key witnesses to a federal judge’s murder.

Aurora takes it upon herself to disabuse the cynical lawman of his conviction that the world is out to get him. But just as she’s on the verge of cracking Zane’s defenses, the man he is after reminds him that no one he loves is safe. Ever.

Award-wining author Beth White closes out her Daughtry House series with this exciting and emotional tale of two strong-willed people who may have met their match.

Rating: 5-stars

A Reckless Love by Beth White is an entertaining story. One that contains two reckless yet determined protagonists. The bad guys don’t stand a chance with these characters nor the other smaller characters. The personalities of the heroes were enjoyable to follow along. I laughed a lot. The writing was well-done. So much action within this historical romance.

Here, I found and was enchanted by a Southern Belle, her family, and a federal deputy. Zane is on the hunt for a killer and he doesn’t plan on anything after that…until Aurora steps into his life. Aurora is like Christmas day. She lights up everyone around her including the firm all-work deputy Zane. Zane finds it impossible not to be charmed by the lady. Something pulls him to her. Aurora is no helpless creature. She takes things into her own hands. Hilarious, sweet, and charming, this novel is a must read for all.
