Review:

The First to Lie by Hank Phillippi Ryan is a dramatic dark suspense read. There are a lot of characters involved in this crime fiction tale. Drugs, lies, and an investigation is found here. The story has a complex plotline. There are many characters. Sometimes, I couldn’t keep track of them but it all pulls together and works out fine. The lies are complicated. A lie within another lie. So many lies from this cast. My head spins with it all. I could not guess who or what really happens until the writer tells me. This novel has many twists and surprises keeping readers, like me, on the edge of my seat wondering what is next. I love the suspense. Also, the fact that I did not know who or what really went on…is my favorite part when reading a thriller like this one. I have not read a book by Hank Phillippi Ryan until now. I am very happy that I got to read this book.
