Review:

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses by Jenny Hale is a sweet romance. I fell in love with the characters immediately. The story of a single mother who works hard to take care of her son and grandpa feels burned out. She is called in for a favor by one of her clients. Her client is one that she nurses. Her son moved back into their family mansion and wants his mom to move back in…but it needs to feel like a home. Which is where, Abbey comes in handy. Abbey has a perfect sense for redecorating spaces and transforming them into works of art. Everyone loves her eye and talent. Abbey is asked to do a redecorating job for the mansion. That’s the biggest project she has ever handled. She feels a little bit nervous but as she progresses her talent shines through with ease. There’s the case of her son that she has to care for as well as, her grandpa. Abbey’s grandpa has Parkinson’s disease and the meds he’s on are not working. Without enough money, her grandpa isn’t getting better. I felt so much sympathy for Abbey and her grandpa. He’s a charming character. I could not help falling in love with the hero of this story either. He has a heart of gold, and learns that you cannot buy happiness nor fix everything with money. Abbey transforms the lives of everyone she comes in contact with…it was beautiful. I cannot recommend this novel enough! The story was one amazing rollercoaster ride. I was laughing, crying, and rooting for everyone. Overall, this contemporary romance novel was clean and romantic at the same time.
