Synopsis:
The ultimate cure that could heal any disease? Crazy.
That’s exactly what research scientist Marian Creighton has always believed about her father’s quest, even if it does stem from a desire to save her sister Ellen from the genetic disease that stole their mother from them. But when her father falls into a coma after drinking a vial of holy water believed to contain traces of residue from the Tree of Life, Marian must question all of her assumptions. He’s left behind tantalizing clues that suggest he’s crossed back in time. Insane. Until Marian tests his theories and finds herself in the Middle Ages during a dangerous peasant uprising.
William Durham, a valiant knight comes to Marian’s rescue and offers her protection . . . as his wife. The longer Marian stays in the past, the more she cares about William. Can she ever find her father and make it back to the present to heal her sister? And when the time comes to leave, will she want to?

Review:
Come Back to Me by Jody Hedlund is one of the most engaging time travel books I have ever read. It was addictive from the beginning to end. I had to know what happened between the characters and with their families. Unfinished business, family, risks, life and death were all displayed here. This was a beautifully woven tale. The characters a knight from the late 1300’s and a woman from the present day life we all know, are put together. The woman ends up going back in time. That is where she met her knight. He came to her rescue and the rest was one interesting adventure after another. There were plenty of times, I thought both would die and that would be the end. Then, Jody would keep me hanging with surprises at every turn. The plot twists were good! I highly recommend this novel. It was an adventure of a lifetime. One I won’t be forgetting any time soon. I want to read more books like this by Jody Hedlund. She is a talented writer. I have read previous books from other series by her. This new one was just as good as her other books if not better.
