Q: When did you begin writing your book?

June 2018

Q:How did your careers help shape your writing?

Writing is a gift. Creating poetry was my first love.  I have enjoyed writing since a young child.  I can’t say that my careers have particularly assisted in my writing career, it’s just something I have always been fond of.

Q: Tell us, readers, what your guide book, Single Mom and the City.

“Single Mom And The City”, create time, money and a rich life is a foundational guide for moms.  Success secrets unlocked! You wouldn’t build a house without a foundation. Parenting should be no different. This book is practical, with advice that can be implemented immediately.  This is far from the typical mommy book.  Imagine,  “The Secret”, and  “Think and Grow Rich”  had a baby, it would be Single Mom And The City. The information is transformative, compiled with data-driven facts specifically for moms like you have never seen.  It is, “The Perfect Mommy Bible”.

Q: How would you describe your guide to empowering women?

The entire book is centered around women’s empowerment.  It gives women permission to be a little bit selfish, with a heavy focus on being the best version of self.  Children model what they see. So it is far more important to see a mom who loves herself and prioritizes wellness and self-improvement. Single Mom and The City is, expert, data-driven advice sprinkled with fun and humor in between. It teaches meditation, financial empowerment, self-care and everything in between. Prior to plane take off the flight attendant instructs passengers, in case of emergency to put their masks overhead on first before helping anyone else.  This book is kind of like that.

Q: What themes will readers find in your book, Single Mom and the City

The reoccurring theme is self-improvement in all aspects of life including parenting.

Q: What other projects are you currently working on?

I’m working on a version of this book for men. Also, a coffee table book.

Q: How did you get into the business world? How did your experiences in business lead you to inspiring and empowering women?

I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit so I followed my heart. I joined business groups and took business planning classes. Social/networking events are also very important.  In many cases, it’s not what you know it’s who you know.  I’ve been fortunate to receive lots of opportunities through friendships and connections I have made over time.  I encourage everyone to surround themselves with individuals that are positive, like-minded, and driven. It will aid in fueling your success.

Q: What main advice would you give to women?

Love yourself, with all of your intricacies and complexities. Know that you deserve and can have whatever you desire in life. Perfection is an illusion. Start and improve as you go.  Follow your intuition.

Q: Using three words, how would you describe your writing style?

Conversational. Objective. Persuasive.
