Edge of Dusk by Colleen Coble is the first exciting read in the Annie Pederson’s series. This female ranger has been through a lot of tragedy. From losing her sister at a young age to losing both of her parents and finally, losing her husband, Annie has a suffered tremendously. Yet, she finds a dead body and starts to connect it to the others. Then, to add to the dramatic flair and intensity of the plot, Annie’s old love interest is back. Someone is now targeting the ranger and won’t stop from keeping the past in the past. It will take everything Annie has and more to get through the deadly stakes.

I love how Colleen Coble creates a strong protagonist. Annie is fierce, smart, and independent. But she also has enough flaws to make her realistic. I rooted for Annie the entire time. I became deeply invested in her life and love mess. There is plenty of danger and action. No boring moment in this book! Exciting, suspenseful, and romantic and deep. Overall, I loved this novel and cannot wait for the next one!
