Review: Secrets of the Gold

A young girl running from an abusive foster home kidnaps an older biker with a mystery for a past he has no memory of.

Leaving the mining town in Colorado and crossing state lines, anything can happen.

What neither is looking for or expecting is friendship.

But in the cold of the desert night, life lessons can go both ways—even if they are not about a million dollars in gold.

Rating: 5-stars

Secrets of the Gold by Baer Charlton is an interesting read. One does not know what to expect in this book. One is escaping a harsh life and the other is blind-sided to what his life was like. Together, these two individuals find the answers they search for on their journey. At first, I wondered about the pairing. But the characters worked. Baer Charlton wrote a wonderful coming of age story that digs its claws into you and doesn’t let go until the end. It is a wild ride. Suspenseful, engaging, and entertaining Secrets of the Gold is a mystery that readers do not want to miss.
