Q: When did you get started in writing stories?
I can’t remember ever not writing stories. I loved reading fantasy as a kid and I was always fascinated by the idea of creating a story like that myself.
Q: What inspired you to publish your book, Queens of Wonderland?
Wonderland, by its very nature, is quirky and insane. I just loved the idea of playing with that.
Q: Who are the main characters?
Michael Darling: the youngest of the Darling children who when with Peter Pan into Neverland, now grown.
Vanessa Finch: Michael’s partner, who is more tied in with the mystical aspects of the world
Will Hardin: Wendy’s husband, who was rescued by Michael and Vanessa from Neverland and joined their organizaion.
Q: How would you describe your writing style?
Fast-paced. It feels similar to a thriller, but with fantasy.
Q: For aspiring writers, what advice would you give them? Can anyone be an author?
Like any other skill, when you start off, you’re probably bad at it. It takes time to develop that skill. Keep working at it. Keep finding ways to improve.
Q: How did you get started in the fantasy fiction genre?
At school, we got those scholastic order forms. I ordered Jeremy Thatcher Dragon Hatcher and completely fell in love with the genre.
Q: What themes are found inside of Queens of Wonderland?
Acceptance. Revenge. Obsession
