Review: Every Dog has His Day

Synopsis:

A stray kitten and a rambunctious poodle bring together a small-town bachelor and a single mother in the latest romance set in Bluff Point, Maine.

Bluff Point brewery owner Zachary Caine wants nothing to do with commitment. His wild bachelor lifestyle suits him perfectly—until a foster kitten named Chaos makes him a reluctant hero. Now he’s BFFs with the kitten’s two little girls and finds himself falling for their gorgeous mother, who couldn’t think less of him.

Divorced mother Jessie Connelly wants nothing to do with men like Zach. He’s sexy and charismatic and bad news, just like her ex. But her girls adore him, and he’s doing a good job filling in for their deadbeat dad. Then a snowstorm brings out the best in both neighbors, who, it turns out, have more in common than their mutual attraction…

So when Jessie’s past threatens her and her girls, Zach is determined to do whatever it takes to protect them—and live happily ever after with this family he has made his own.

Review:

Every Dog has His Day by Jenn McKinlay is super sweet, super funny, and super romantic. My heart melted with every page. Jenn McKinlay knew how to make me swoon, aww, and fall in love. Her characters are charming. The protagonists have real life issues that they’re currently facing. One is a single divorced mother of two young girls. The other is a man who never really had a family. Little did they know that fate had plans for them both. Next door neighbors who end up getting to know each other through the fault of two sweet girls and a little kitten. The bachelor has a dog that he’s home sitting and has become attached to…after meeting his next door neighbors and getting to them, Zachary can’t resist their charming nature. Jessie and her girls fall for Zach’s charming self and his good looks. But there’s more to Zachary than Jessie original thought. He’s a man with a good heart and a loving nature. Their chemistry explodes in this book. Humor was throughout the pages. I loved the snowflake making scene…Zach’s snowflake looked like a bird to the little girls but both he and the girls’ mother knew exactly what it was…I cannot mention it. But it’s worth reading to find out! Overall, I highly recommend this contemporary holiday novel to readers worldwide.

Noelle by Greg Kincaid is a sweet holiday tale. One that pulls a family together and reunites them in a way that haven’t been. Happiness comes with time. A dog named Noelle does all the hard work. She’s a pretty Christmas dog that brings cheer everywhere she goes. The family mentioned inside also snatched my heart and soul. Everything felt so real. A beautiful emotional journey told by Greg Kindcaid. It’s memorable. An engaging story that hooks me right from the start. It kept me interested until the very end. Overall, I recommend reading, Noelle

Review: Chihuahua Confidential

Synopsis:

“If I say so myself, I am muy foxy!”

When novice P.I. Geri Sullivan first heard her adopted Chihuahua talk, she thought she’d gone barking mad. But it turns out Pepe is a savvy sleuth—and if he has his way, he’ll soon be a bone-a-fido celebrity, too, as Pepe and Geri are Hollywood-bound to star in the reality show Dancing With Dogs. So far, so bueno.

Then Nigel St. Nigel, the judge everyone loves to hate, becomes the judge someone wanted dead. Pepe and Geri are hot on a killer’s heels but between perfecting the paso doble and protecting Pepe’s Pomeranian lady love, both have their paws full. If Pepe’s new status as a Beverly Hills Chihuahua goes to his head, it may be the last waltz for Geri’s crime-biting compadre…

Review:

Chihuahua Confidential by Waverly Curtis is another exciting adventure. In this new mystery, Pepe and his owner, Geri, are headed for stardom. Pepe and Geri will be featured on Dan omg with the Dogs. It is there that they find a new case. A judge most disliked is found dead. Many suspects are found making finding the killer harder to catch. Danger, risks, and mayhem are everywhere. The pages are filled with humor. Pepe the talking Chihuahua is my favorite character. Then, there’s Geri an average female who is needing a job to pay bills and feed both her and Pepe. Geri is learning to be a detective and Pepe is helping her learn. And it’s not long before another case finds the pair. Hilarious, well-developed, and a perfect read for animal lovers worldwide. I enjoyed reading the first novel in this series. This second book, was just as good. Overall, I recommend it to all.

Review:Monty & Me by Lousia Bennet

Monty & Me by Lousia Bennet is a funny and sweet mystery that will forever lure readers into its intriguing world. A former police dog who tried, but failed, to save his owner and almost died himself is out to find the killer. Monty survived a knife to his chest and is still on the hunt to catch his master’s murderer. But it’s hard when food distracts all thoughts and the fact that he’s no longer a police dog. Plus, Monty has a new owner and she’s in a tough spot herself. Now, there’s a another person out to help Monty and his new owner. A little mouse! Readers will fall in love with this brilliantly well-written story.

Lousia Bennet has beautifully captured the life of a dog and his loyalty to his master as well as everyday life humor. Monty is like any other dog, who tells the story of what happened and shows readers what’s happening now through his eyes. Dogs don’t understand everything, but they do understand enough to help and be there for us. A tale woven of duty, friendship, and loyalty. I could not get enough of this adorable hero, his new friend and new master. Adventure, intrigue, and a whole lot humor on every page. Mystery and animal lovers, this is for you! I loved reading Monty & Me and highly recommend it to readers everywhere. Overall, I rate it five out of five stars.
