Review: The Chamber Children

What secrets await the children of Rose Chamber when they return to their North Carolina family home after their mother’s passing?

Rating: 4.5-stars

The Chamber Children by James T. Riley is a mysterious yet intriguing read. From the start he held my attention. Glued to the pages, I needed to know what happened and why. The Chamber Children aren’t like other children. Their lives were crazy ad different. Secrets about them and their lives came unraveling with each new page. Engaging. Stones from who knows where appear. A man takes them. And he takes the event as a sign that, that’s where he he should build a hous. When his children are born, he still carries the stones. The significance of these stones and the children are connected somehow. I was beyond intrigued. Hooked. Suspenseful is one way to describe The Chamber Children. James T. Riley sent me on one grand adventure. A fantasy worth reading.

Love Happpens is anthology by many authors. Each one with their own unique talent. They have come together to put this collection for readers and to raise funds for Autism. I love when talented writers get together to help others. It nails my attention immediately.

Review: Active Measures

In the winter of 1990, as the Soviet empire crumbled, a small Russian special forces team entered the dense forests of West Germany and buried an insurance policy.

In present day Iran, the United States’ most valuable agent uncovers a devastating secret brewing deep beneath the country’s mountainous terrain: In mere months, a faction of the regime’s Revolutionary Guards will successfully assemble a nuclear bomb. As the full might of the American intelligence community is mobilized to stop it, the CIA’s new director must confront a web of threats both at home and abroad, from a resentful White House chieftain, to a cunning Israeli spymaster, and the fearsome commander of the Iranian Quds Force.

In Moscow–after an oil trader with ties to the Kremlin is found burned alive in his Geneva home–an aide to Russia’s adored and despotic president is caught between opposing powers. At one side is an eccentric billionaire with lofty dreams of reorienting Russia toward the West, and at the other is the autocratic strongman whose ardent quest for resurgence has brought Russia into a risky, open confrontation with NATO.

In Lebanon, the Syrian civil war that raged for years across the border has reached its bloody climax. Yet in its wake, a new menace comes crawling from the shadows to feast on the remains. A brilliant CIA officer in Beirut, working desperately to penetrate an exhausted Hezbollah, is first to recognize the danger. As she begins calling on deaf ears, it is only a matter of time until the drums of war start beating again in the Middle East–and now with the greatest terrorist the world has ever known leading the charge.

Warping the line between illusion and reality, amid a labyrinth of characters, plots and counter-plots that span the globe–from the halls of the Kremlin and the suburbs of northern Virginia, to the slums of Beirut and the back alleys of Tehran–comes a story of intrigue and betrayal, life and death, setting a collision course toward a firestorm that will consume thousands and blind a superpower.

Active Measures (part 1) by Matt Fulton is one of the best military spy novels I have read. His characters are like that of my favorite thriller movies. Just as real if not more believable than the Bourne Series. I was amazed at the depth of military knowledge and terms used within the book. It was as though Matt Fulton took readers on a real walk in tour of the scenes. The sights, sounds, and places were three-dimensional. I could visually see the everything as I read them. The characters were well-developed. Danger wasn’t just a theme it was the reality of the whole novel. Threats were coming in from all sides. People found themselves dead or caught between the fire. Spies were real. Their knowledge and personalities suited perfectly. I couldn’t find a single thing out of line in this read. Everything was detailed and need to know. Readers were caught in suspense wondering where and what would happen next. A bomb planted. Threat of it going off…

Active Measures (part 1) has everything. Action, suspense, travel, and excitement. I was truly impressed. Matt Fulton knew what he was doing in creating this masterpiece. War…happens alll the time. Yet here, it’s more deadly and more serious than any other book I have read. The reality of the after effects and who’s all involved can be overwhelming. But Matt Fulton has created it, in a way that is nothing but entertaining. Absolutely and engaging tale. Government, politics, and agents. I loved it. A nightmare that haunts us all has been created for enjoyment. Overall, I highly recommend this read to all.

Book Review: So..This is Awkward by Timothy Tuttlesmith

So..This is Awkward by Timothy Tuttlesmith is truly an outstanding memoir that leads readers on a journey of discovery. A path that Timothy Tuttlesmith engages his readers with turns out to be funny, hot, delightfully entertaining. Here the man moves to New York where he decides to take on online dating explores things such as his exploration of BDSM. Readers will love reading this story because it’s realistic, well written and lures them deep into the depth of the plot as it continues to unfold. I enjoyed reading this because the character’s personality and his relationship and discoveries made for a stunning read. A nerdy, decent, and a little bit wild kind of guy who searches for the girl of his dreams. So..This is Awkward explores a theme that will touch many readers’ hearts and keep them coming back to read his next masterpiece. Overall, I rate this a five out of five stars and recommend to everyone.

Book Revew: The Roundup: Penny and Matthew (Birthrights Book 3) by Coty Justus

Coty Justus is a talented writer whose way with words is brilliantly stunning. Inside this incredible story is packed with several themes that will tug at readers hearts such as trust, loyalty, and love. Not only does The Roundup have these themes but also is packed with adventure, suspense, and intrigue. I feel in love with the characters and the amazing men who are so realistically portrayed it’s hard to tell it’s fiction.

The Roundup by Coty Justus is one that should be read by readers worldwide. It combines action, romance and Native American culture. Coty Justus has a well written story whose plot intrigues readers every page. Readers will also find it humourous and spectacular. I couldn’t get enough of the fabulous characters and their troubles. The Roundup is one novel readers everywhere will not be able to stop reading. The romance between Penny and Matthew is an interesting one. Once Matthew sees Penny, he knows she’s the one for him. Penny also knows that there is one man who is meant for her. Penny has those who want her dead and Matthew knows he needs to protect her. A love so warm and understanding it was beautiful. Also, the way the characters welcomed Penny into their circle is astounding. Today, with all our differences it was nice to read a novel that showed a welcome embrace towards a stranger. I highly recommend reading this novel and look forward to reading the next story by Coty Justus. Overall, I rate it a five out of five stars.
