Review: Protecting the Enemy

Synopsis

Protecting the Enemy was originally published as Honor Bound. It has since been expanded, revised, and re-edited.
Twelve years ago, I gave up the love of my life because my family made the relationship impossible. Now that Ali has come back to me, I’m not going to give her up again.
It’s been years since I’ve seen her, and I know she’s hated me all this time. I never expected to see her working as an event planner for one of my father’s business partners. But here she is, always snooping around and getting into trouble. I’m supposed to be providing security, but I can’t stop thinking about her.
She’s up to something, and it might put her in danger. She sees me as the enemy now. Maybe I am, but I’m not going to lose her again. I might be hired to protect the man she’s working against, but my heart only wants to protect her.

Review:

Protecting the Enemy by both Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams is the second installment to their new romance series. This book is another tale about second chances. A romance that existed but never got the chance to bloom until now. But there’s plenty of obstacles to get through first. Love is messy, complex, and complicated. It can leave damage…

Hatred, anger, danger, and sparks ignite in this exciting book. I felt closer to these characters than the previous book. However, I still miss the full fledge magic that Samantha Chase always brings to her books. Seeing as this is co-written, it’s hard to  feel that magic that I’m so used to feeling. But it’s still worth reading every damn page. I was engaged. Hooked. Intrigued by ehatwould transpire between the two protagonists. Writers Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams create a chemistry that lingers far after one finishes reading. Overall, I recommend this second title to readers everywhere. Protecting the Enemy is a contemporary full of heat and action.

Review

The Final Score by Jaci Burton is a swoon worthy romance. This book will definitely take to fans of sports, sex, and romance. The once best friend relationship ends up turning into something way more than either thought. Neither MIA nor Nathan can ignore the sparks, heat, and their hearts. Their hearts want each other. However, Mia is determined to try to keep it a best friend only relationship…but as time goes by…she realizes she wants more. Nathan loves football. With Mia nearer to him, he can’t concentrate on just sports stuff. Their relationship has gone and left. Leaving behind something much more intense. Something worth fighting for…

The Final Score is a hot read. I couldn’t stop reading it. Jaci Burton knows how to creation the right amount of lust, heat, and unforgettable characters. The scenes fly by fast. One moment, I’m starting the next, I’ve finished reading. Truly, a novel worth picking up to read. Overall, I recommend to readers worldwide.

But once in close proximity, both are starting to feel the tug of chemistry build up once more. Sexy, sweet, and entertaining. I loved reading Lucas by Delores Fossen. Review: The Boyfriend Bet

Synopsis:

This Entangled Teen Crush book contains multiple PDAs, after-school detentions, and gambling on the side. Warning: betting on a boyfriend is bad for your health. Zoe Cain knows that Grant Evertide is way out of her league. So naturally, she kisses him. Out of spite. Not only is Grant her brother’s number-one nemesis, but he has zero interest in being tied down to one girl. She’s shocked and secretly thrilled when they start spending more time together. Non-exclusively, of course, but that doesn’t mean Zoe can’t change his mind, one PDA and after-school detention at a time. Zoe’s brother claims Grant is trying to make her his “Ringer,” an oh-so-charming tradition where a popular guy dates a non-popular girl until he hooks up with her, then dumps her. Zoe threatens to neuter Grant with hedge clippers if he’s lying but Grant swears he isn’t trying to trick her. Still, that doesn’t mean Grant is the commitment type even if winning a bet is on the line.”

Review:

The Boyfriend Bet by Chris Cannon is a YA that readers must not miss. Here, readers will get to experience two best friends not sure on whether they would be a great match or not. Their journey is one that I greatly enjoyed. Filled with choices, trust, honesty, and attraction. Teenagers experience it all in this sweet tale. It all started with a girl’s choice in making her brother angry by dating a guy he hates. But there lies the problem…that hated guy lures her in like no other. He makes her want things. A friendship turns into best friends and then something more. Can love come out of the equation or will the first choice have been a mistake all this time? Chris Cannon’s writing is superb. I couldn’t get enough of the main characters. The older brother’s way of protecting his little sister is annoying but warm-hearted. However, he needs to learn to let his sister do things for herself. If she makes a mistake, it’s on her. Not him. Then there’s the question of whether the guy really is into her or not. That alone leaves room for doubt which turns into mistrust. Relationships as readers will find out in this story is that there has to be, trust first, then communication, if anything is to come out okay. Overall, I highly recommend this dazzling contemporary novel to all.

Review:

A Perfect Plan by Alyssa Drake is an intoxicating read. The words fill one’s mind and send the heart racing. The raw desires brings out a chemistry so strong I could hardly believe I was simply reading about them. But intimacy isn’t the only exciting part of this novel. Alyssa Drake has also, masterfully woven a suspenseful yet deadly mystery into her historical romance. I have never felt so pumped about reading a historical tale than I have when reading this book. The pages come to life. Showing readers as they follow along. The chemistry builds with every page. Creating an intense atmosphere. The danger ahead is oe that will keep readers on the edge of their seats in wait.

Alyssa Drake creates a story of a young woman who only had her brother. When info comes in saying his boat has sunk she is soon called back into society to play a part. Samantha was just getting used to not having a man around to boss her around nor have to be anything society asked until recently. The plot thickens when news that her father had been murdered. Benjamin a friend of Samantha’s brother made a promise to take care of Sammantha if anything foul happened. So, when fate calls him to fulfill the promise made he at first hates his new duty but after meeting Sammantha he soon falls fast. But the danger isn’t over yet. Sammantha might also be in danger as well…and Benjamin’s plans for seducing her will have to wait. Overall, I loved reading this brilliant novel. I loved the characters and their troubles. Well-written and entertaining. I highly recommend A Perfect Plan to readers everywhere.

Review: Waking Up in Vegas

Synopsis:

When what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay there…

It was supposed to be a wild weekend spent celebrating her best friend. But Kiera didn’t count on running into him. He was an annoying blast from her past, hell-bent on pushing all of her buttons. Business. It was always about business. When Andrew travels to Las Vegas for a meeting, he never counted on her. Some things never changed and it seemed like Kiera was still stuck in the past. But as things heat up, he starts finding ways to mix business with pleasure. And after an amazing weekend, he needs to find a way to convince the feisty red head that not everything needs to stay in Vegas.

Can Kiera and Andrew overcome the ghosts from their past in order to find a future together or will they bet on love and lose everything?

Review:

Waking Up in Vegas by Sarah King is hot, exciting, and addictive. Talk about sensual, funny, and romantic…Sarah King has brilliantly lured me into her amazing world of fiction. Two characters…both are bold and sexy in their own way. A past of heartbreak may be the one thing stopping a woman from having her second chance at love. The reason why Andrew broke up with Kiera is unknown until the writer let’s readers inside the story. Their past and their present attraction, heat, and chemistry is enough to burn the night away. What turned out to be a week of girls bonding and having soon, turns into a week of hot sex, fun, and an emotional journey that Kiera isn’t sure she wants. But Andrew won’t stop and won’t give up on her…

Waking Up in Vegas is everything I thought it would be plus more. Sarah King knows how to lay on the heat and how to entice her readers’ full attention. The characters alone can suck readers like myself into the plot and lead me feeling like the entire ride was real. Keira and Andrew’s romance past and present was realistic done in way that bonds readers to the overall tale. The emotions sweep readers up off their feet and head on into what lies next…hearts are definitely on the line and how it ends is something readers just have to find out on their own. We all have heard the saying what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…but with such a magnetic pull between Kiera and Andrew…I doubt the saying applies to them or does it? I absolutely loved reading this spicy romance and I look forward to reading more by Sarah King in the future. Overall, yes, I highly recommend this read to all.

Review: Just A Number

Synopsis:

Not looking for love.

No details.

Follow rules and restrictions.

Only fun. No feelings.

Forever–not an option.

Simple Flings.

They were all just a number.

Dash Oliver and Willow Dane both shared the same philosophy.

That is, until a merger of sorts.

Thrown together by fate or serendipity, was their connection… their chemistry… their compatibility enough to convince them that their rules were made to be broken and that they belonged together?

Review:

Just A Number by Fifi Flowers is extraordinary! Her romance automatically pulls readers into her plot and sends them onto the characters journey of a once in a lifetime kind of romance. I loved how beautifully written this story was. Readers will be blown away by both characters view points on what is happening and how they each deal with the attraction. Crazy, insane, and sexy – is exactly what Fifi Flowers brings to her readers. Love is nothing but a hot tangled mess and that’s where both her characters are. A hot mess that neither of them can shake off…This romance was the first that I have read by Fifi Flowers and I highly recommend it to readers worldwide. Addictive, emotional, and highly entertaining novel – Just A Number is indeed a must read for all.
