Review: The Bad Luck Bride

Synopsis:

All were shocked at the announcement of the “cursed” Lady Claire Cavensham to Lord Alexander Hallworth, the Marquess of Pembrooke, especially since she is already engaged to another unfortunate Lord. Perhaps she will make it to the altar this time with one of these fine gentlemen! Could her run of bad luck finally be at an end? It’s highly doubtful in this writer’s humble opinion. —Midnight Cryer
No one is left breathless at the imperious pronouncement of her engagement to Lord Pembrooke more than Claire. She hardly knows the dangerously outrageous man! But after three engagements gone awry and a fourth going up in glorious flames, she isn’t in a position to refuse…especially once she realizes that Lord Pembrooke makes her want to believe she’s not a bad luck bride anymore…
Alexander requires the hand of his enemy’s fiancée in marriage in order to complete his plans for revenge. It’s his good fortune that the “cursed” woman is desperate. However, what begins as a sham turns into something scandalously deeper. The beguiling lady has no business laying claim to his heart. But as a mission of revenge turns into fiery passion, Alexander wants nothing more than to break Claire’s curse…and lead them both to their hearts’ desire.
“The Bad Luck Bride is a stroke of good luck for readers—the intricate plot, arresting characters, and rich emotional resonance will leave you swooning.”—New York Times bestselling author Sabrina Jeffries

The Bad
Luck Bride is the first in a new Regency romance series from Janna MacGregor!

Rating: 5-stars

Review:

The Bad Luck Bride by Janna MacGregor is a fascinating historical. Immediately readers are drawn deep into the tale. It lured me further by pure curiosity. The suspense of one charcater’s plan…and what will actually come of it got me excited. The Bad Luck Bride is about one man getting back at another by using his enemy’s fiancé. But little will both the bride and husband to be know that real love will play into the equation. I found it hilarious, enticing, and ful, of drama. Th action was never disappointing. Janna MacGregor has a flare for writinga romance that beckons and captivates readers whole. My heart was with the charcaters as their troubles unfolded. Society has a way of drawing the characters out…and pulling them closer than they thought they would ever be. Revenge is not to be toyed with…emotions ran strong within the book. I was highly entertained. Both Alexander and Claire are characters that readers like myself will always remember. Overall, I highly recommend this well-written plot to all.

Review: The Dangerous Billionaire

Synopsis:

Money doesn’t always change the man in this new standalone romance from Jackie Ashenden.

“Sinfully sexy.”–Opal Carew on Mine to Take
Nothing about Sullivan “Van” Tate is what it seems. A Navy SEAL raised among the New York City elite, Van prefers heart-pounding action over a Wall Street corner office. Chloe Tate is as ambitious as she is gorgeous. With a newfound independence, Chloe is no longer a prisoner on her father’s ranch. But everything changes when losing her father may also mean losing her life. Even with her survival on the line, Chloe can’t deny the burning attraction she feels the moment she locks eyes with Van, her rich, rough and ready, foster brother and the new head of her father’s company. Tall, dark, and muscled, he’s the one man who she has no business being with. But how can she resist a Navy Seal Warrior when he’ll do anything to protect her?

Rating: 5-stars

Review:

The Dangerous Billionaire by Jackie Ashenden was brilliant. A family torn apart by a dead father’s secrets. A man who couldn’t have kids adopted and accepted four children to raise as his own. His heirs. The father is a rich man who made his money from oil. After his death he wrote a will. Stating that his eldest adoptiveson, Van Tate, is the sole heir of both the Tate oil company and the ranch. But there lies the problem…the ranch was to go to the youngest. Chloe Tate was told by her father that’s she would inherit the ranch. However, he’s dead now, and he left behind more problems than promises kept.

Chloe is called out to New York by Tate. She soon learns that he has inherited everything…including the family ranch. Chloe is frustrated at how Tate makes her feel. Tate, too, has deep feelings for his adoptive sister, Chloe. They both try to push the feelings away. But neither succeed and now, the stakes are high as well as the danger. Secrets…Chloe and Tate both find out her real parentage. Shock isn’t the only emotional released after the news. The emotional journey from beginning to end was intense. Powerfully written and engaging in every way possible. Tate soon becomes exactly as the title suggests, The Dangerous Billionaire. Jackie Ashenden has thoroughly impressed me with her applause male heroes and stubborn heroine. The plot twists were unexpected but very good. Enticing, hot, and sweet. I loved reading this contemporary romance novel. Overall, I highly recommend it to all.

Rating: 5-stars

Review:

Gentleman’s Game of Love by Eleanor Meyers is sweet and addictive introduction of the Elkin brothers. Each man thinks he can stay clear of losing his heart. But then fate brings them each one woman who steals their hearts and sending them falling apart. Inside this novel, it focuses on one particular brother. Guy Elkin has successfully established two businesses. One is an exclusive club and the other is one set for men with ladies of the night. However, Guy has created anger in his mother for that and his destruction is surrounded by one woman…Lady Anne.

Lady Anne makes Guy feel so alive. Her blue eyes, shinning hair, and fiery soul has captured him whole. He doesn’t want any other woman but her. Anne fights her passion and desire for Guy Elkin every day…but he soon grinds her down…

A carriage disaster happens, and Guy Elkin let’s slip a lie about him and Lady Anne. But then his family finds out the lie…and both are going to set his family straight on the truth. However, once Lady Anne meets his family she can’t ignore what she feels and hopes by going along with the lie…that Guy would want her as much as she does him.

Lies and secrets are still kept between them…

Their desire burns hotter with every page.

It is only time, if they both accept their love and move forward or destroy what they have together…

The Gentleman’s Game of Love by Eleanor Meyers is an outstanding novel. I enjoyed the charcaters’ dilemmas, banter, and romance. Adventure, humor, and an unforgettable journey is waiting inside…I was hooked. Overall, I highly recommend it to all.

Review: Sealionaire (Book 3)

SEALionaire Book 3: A Navy SEAL romance by [Parker, M. S., Walker, Shiloh]

Don’t miss the thrilling conclusion to SEALionaire, the sexy Navy SEAL romance by MS Parker and Shiloh Walker.

Rating: 5 stars

Review:

Sealionaire (Book 3) by both MS Parker and Shiloh Walker is the final journey. First off, I have to say that both MS Parker and Shiloh Walker are a great team. Their combined writing efforts in making this series were fantastic. I was already a major fan of Shiloh Walker’s novels. Her stories brilliant. Then, reading this new series introduced me to another talented writer, MS Parker. I will now, be looking out for her novels as well. Hot, sexy, and a book readers won’t be able to resist. I couldn’t put it down. This last story had every element I loved. Danger, raw desires, and a suspense that kept me lured. Baited me instantly. Hooked me after reading the first page. The ending was explosive.

Sealionaire (Book 3) offered a sexy Navy Seal as the bodyguard. I can already sense the appeal. A man who knows how to react to a deadly environment as well as protecting the innocent. Here, his job just got more interesting. He will have to put every skill he knows into saving a woman. A woman who has him so aroused that it’s hard not to grin. The tipping was that the leading female character felt just as intensely about the bodyguard as he did her. As the threat of danger rose so, did their heat and attraction for one another. Absolutely, charming and steamy. After reading this romantic suspense tale, readers will be begging for more. It’s a read, readers can’t miss. Overall, I highly recommend Sealionaire (book 3) to readers everywhere.

Review: One Step Behind

Synopsis:

London, 1812. When the unconventional Gemma Lancaster embarked on a mission to infiltrate high society and avenge her beloved cousin’s murder she never, would have guessed she’d end up in the arms of a thief. At least, that’s what she assumes when she discovers Lucas Stone breaking into a private safe.

Lucas Stone, the Earl of Winchester, has a reputation for arrogance and a soft-spot for his sister, which is how he ends up in the predicament of hiding behind a curtain at midnight with the dreadfully dull Miss Gemma Lancaster. But he soon discovers appearances can be deceiving when the country mouse turns into a spitfire in front of his eyes and she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with him.

Though one is chasing a blackmailer and the other a murderer, they quickly realize they are on the hunt for the same villain. Now they must work together, which would be fine, if they could decide if they’d rather fall in love or kill one another.

Review:

One Step Behind is an enticing read. It lures readers back in time to the regency period. Brianna Labuskes’ historical romance is intense, sexy, and highly entertaining. The quarrel between a red-headed woman and a man highly regarded by the ton, is fun to watch. Their sparring keeps readers on their toes…constantly.  A female heroine strong and not to be distracted until a handsome man captures her attention. Especially, on a night of her clandestine mission. But then he too is on a mission. It’s not until that moment that both find out they share the same need. Plus, a more physical one that develops between them both. Causing both to think of nothing else. It’s quite dangerous to let an attraction disturb one from gaining the truth. There’s a murderer walking around free and both main characters are set to catch him. One Step Behind is an amazing novel. It has everything that baited, lured, and hooked me right into its plot. Fast-paced and bold, Brianna Labuskes’ writing is phenomenal. Overall, I highly recommend this romance to all.

Review:

Drawn to a Cowboy by Fifi Flowers is another brilliant masterpiece by this talented writer. I love her books. The characters are created with just the right amount or realism to make them believable. Sexy heroes and a strong heroine. A combination that I love.

Here, inside Drawn to a Cowboy, two characters meet by chance. Boy does fate have things in store for them. Neither character planned on it but both will be stuck like glue. Fiesty, addictive, and sweet. Who knew a cowboy would come to an artist’s recuse by offering her a job at his ranch. Once he makes the offer, he’s not sure how or what will transpire next. But the heat turns up higher with every page. The undeniable attraction will keep readers turning the pages. The sexy cowboy has just presented one woman a chance that she will have to risk. His good looks have her thoughts all jumbled but what happens next is amazing. Fifi Flowers has created a romance, readers can’t resist. Her writing is definitely out of this world…as well as an exciting plot that moves by quickly and tempting situations that readers love. Overall, I highly recommend this beautiful engaging romance to all.

Review:

Wishing for You by Elizabeth Langston is a beautifully written novel. One that makes readers want to revisit it time and time again. The main character, Kimberley, has short term memory. This is viewed as a great distress to her. However, throughout the tale, she learns that it’s not as bad as she once thought. Her weakness makes her special. She is perfect for a man who needs a woman like her. The bond between the two characters is sweet. I loved how a man looked beyond Kimberly’s weakness and saw her strengths instead. Absolutely, an enjoyable fantasy read that will delight many. The friendship, romance, and subject matter covered within were amazing. Elizabeth Langston masterfully wove real issues into an entertaining yet inspiring novel. Overall, I highly recommend Wishing for You to readers everywhere.

Review:

To Capture the Duke’s Heart by Jessie Bennett is brilliantly amazing. I absolutely loved reading this book. More than one regency romance story. All seem to tie in together. The characters are believable. The plots are realistic. Each set of characters carries those that readers will love and others that readers will not like. The bad guys are portrayed perfectly. These are the characters that readers won’t like due to their scheming and betrayals. The danger is suspenseful with within each story. Readers will constantly be holding their breath in until the moment when all is revealed. Jessie Bennett has created a beautifully written masterpiece. One that I shall never forget. I want to read more by her. This book gives me a taste for more historical regency romance stories. The attachments to each good character are made easily. It’s hard not to love the perfect, flawed, and rough-edged good guys. The good characters have their own personalities that set them apart from another in an interesting way. It sets readers on a quest to read them all. I love To Capture the Duke’s Heart. Overall, I highly recommend this collection to readers everywhere.

Review: The Earl’s Unforgettable Flame

Review:

The Earl’s Unforgettable Flame by Charlotte Stone is an exciting read. Adventure, danger, an unforgotten past, and a deep emotional journey. A young boy now, as an Earl, can’t forget the good deed a young girl did. She risked her life. Now, as a woman, Catherine has the scars that make her feel like an outcast. She feels like she is not worthy of any suitor’s attention nor love. But then fate sends Benjamin into her life. He wants her. Catherine doesn’t think he could and the lack of self-esteem she has causes Benjamin to try. He wants her to know he can and does want her. But will her attitude keep them both from finding their true happiness?

Charlotte Stone’s writing is superb. She sucked me right into the plot. Tempting, bold, and thrilling. The Earl’s Unforgettable Flame is indeed a perfect title for this read. The main characters lure me deep into their backgrounds and their present moments. I loved following them both. Each with fighting for a good cause. If I were in the main female character’s shoes I too would be hesitant if an Earl like Benjamin took interest in me. Catherine considers herself a damaged good. Living with ugly scars can take a lot from an individual. The banter between both characters is enticing. I kept turning the pages in a haste to read it all.  Benjamin is a good gentleman with good intentions; however, a man can only try so hard. The game of love is unpredictable but worth every struggle. Overall, I highly recommend The Earl’s Unforgettable Flame to all.

Awakening to You by Fifi Flowers is a definite must read for all. Talk about a powerful love that blows readers away. I have fallen in love with the characters and with Fifi Flower’s writing. Absolutely, amazing how strong both leading characters are in their lives. Of course, life and love are never easy to juggle but these two manage it well. Issues like a woman working in a male-dominated area are one of my favorite topics to read. Here, I was enchanted by it in Awakening to You. Hot, sexy, sensual and enticing. Every one of Fifi Flowers novels gets hotter with each book. I wouldn’t be able to choose which of her novels is my favorite. Review:

The Beauty and the Feast by J.R. Barret is a highly entertaining romance. It’s hot, sexy, and funny sweet. This was the first novel I have read by this talented author. The characters were fun to read about and follow along with as the plot developed. Readers will be enticed with this title from the first page. Food, culture, and amazing travel, readers will get to taste and view when reading this brilliant novel. I found myself completely lost as I read this story. It was like I was right there watching and engaging in the exciting scenes around me. The smells were so vivid that I found myself almost tasting the delicious meals prepared by the main character. She is beautiful, smart, and fun. J.R Barret’s novel is steady paced and well-written. Once readers open it up to read it won’t be put down until they read the last page. Inside The Beauty and the Feast, readers are taken into a kitchen where we find our main character cooking and then being hosed down by a horny teenage boy. A horny teenage boy that she has to babysit for her boss. He takes great pleasure in soaking her shirts until they are transparent . . . then leaves grinning like a Chesire Cat of Wonderland. Readers will be intrigued by Eva whose cooking skills will make anyone’s mouth water . . . especially that of a hot sexy man who heats up her dreams. Gabe is soon led to Eva and unlike most romantic relationships; this woman has a lot more than looks to attract a red-blooded male. But what fate holds in store for them both is one readers must find out on their own. I absolutely loved reading this title—the cover and name of the book fit in perfectly with the story and its characters. Spicy, sensual, and masterfully woven, The Beauty and the Feast, is definitely a must read for all.

Review: Mission Hill

Synopsis:

Abby Endicott is chief of the District Attorney’s homicide unit in Boston, where she investigates and prosecutes the city’s most dangerous killers. A member of Mission Hill’s elite, and a graduate of the Winsor school and then Harvard Law, the prosecutor’s office is not the prestigious job that would have been expected of her. She has been known to change into an evening gown amidst bodies in the morgue. She loves her job, and is committed to it, refusing all pressure to quit from her upper-crust parents or threats from the city’s most ruthless killers. But among Abby’s many secrets is her longtime affair with fellow prosecutor Tim Mooney, a married father of one.

One night, Abby is awakened very late by a phone call from her favorite detective, who reports that there has been a horrific murder but is vague about the specifics. When she arrives at the crime scene and discovers the identity of the victim, Abby knows the terror and tragedy are only beginning.

In Mission Hill, debut novelist Pamela Wechsler delivers a gripping and very human portrayal of a woman who will stop at nothing to find the truth, even if it challenges everything she believes about justice.

Review:

Mission Hill by Pamela Wechsler is one of the most complex novels I have read yet. Readers will find out that this new title has everything a reader could want. The sense of danger, excitement, and romance. This, is the first novel, in a new series, by Pamela Wechsler. A nail gripping legal thriller, that will forever lure readers to her novel. Things seem to go well for the main character until one crime scene has it all falling apart…

Inside this stunning and brilliantly well-written story, readers will meet one woman who defies all other leading protagonists. Rules…are something, Abby Endicott ignores or makes up as she goes. A strong lady, who is in charge of the DA’s Homicide Unit seems to be handling life great…and then a crime has been committed which will leave her secrets coming undone. Mission Hill reminds me of Miss Fisher in a way. A modern woman whom many would tell not to become what she is and yet she still does to everyone’s dismay. Just like Miss Fisher, Abby Endicott, breaks the rules and goes out to do what she wants. Danger follows Abby every step of the way. I really enjoyed reading this title. Following the murder investigation and trial that Abby takes over is incredible. Readers will easily connect with her and be begging for the next fun filled adventure by Pamela Wechsler.

Review: The Beauty and the Feast

Synopsis:

Eva Raines is an uncomplicated country girl who’s all about food. Eva moves to the Napa Valley where her culinary skills come to the attention of the owners of a start-up and Eva finds her niche as a personal chef. Now all she needs is a man as perfect as her cooking, but she has serious doubts such a creature exists.

When wealthy entrepreneur, winery owner, and noted lothario, Gabriel Abbott, makes plans to seduce his flavor of the month, his assistant hires All Things to All People to cater a gourmet dinner. Eva expects to use her way with food to showcase the startup. What she unexpectedly discovers is that her culinary skills showcase far more. Gabriel Abbott finds himself seduced by her voice and the sensual flavors and textures of her food and his previous plans are quickly forgotten. He begins to obsess about meeting his little chef in person. He’s not alone. Once Eva hears Gabe’s voice and spends time in his home in the Napa Valley, she begins to wonder about the real man and her dreams of him are so hot they could ignite a barbecue.

Review:

The Beauty and the Feast by J.R. Barret is a highly entertaining romance. It’s hot, sexy, and funny sweet. This was the first novel I have read by this talented individual. The characters were fun to read about and follow along with as the plot developed. Readers will be enticed with this title from the first page and onward. Food, culture, and amazing travel readers will get to taste and view when reading this brilliant novel.

He takes great pleasure in soaking her shirts until they are transparent..then leaves grinning like a cashmere cat in Alice of Wonderland. Readers will be intrigued by Eva whose cooking skills will make anyone’s mouth water…especially that of a hot sexy man who heats up her dreams. Gabe is soon led to Eva and unlike most romances..this woman has a lot more than looks that attract a red-blooded male like him. But what fate holds in store for them both is one, readers must find out on their own. I absolutely loved reading this title..the cover and name of the book fit in perfectly with the story and its characters. Spicy, sensual, and masterfully woven, The Beauty and the Feast, is definitely a must read for all.

They were all just a number.

Dash Oliver and Willow Dane both shared the same philosophy.

That is, until a merger of sorts.

Just A Number by Fifi Flowers is extraordinary! Her romance automatically pulls readers into her plot and sends them onto the characters journey of a once in a lifetime kind of romance. I loved how beautifully written this story was. Readers will be blown away by both characters view points on what is happening and how they each deal with the attraction. Crazy, insane, and sexy – is exactly what Fifi Flowers brings to her readers. Love is nothing but a hot tangled mess and that’s where both her characters are. A hot mess that neither of them can shake off…This romance was the first that I have read by Fifi Flowers and I highly recommend it to readers worldwide. Addictive, emotional, and highly entertaining novel – Just A Number is indeed a must read for all.

Book Review: The Widow Wager by Jess Michaels

The Widow Wager is an enticing historical romance that readers will love. Jess Michaels has spun a wonderful story that readers will not be able to put down. Characters are charming, smart, and luring. Both characters have suffered a deep loss that has them both spinning out of control but not before fate intervenes once again forcing the two of them together.

Gemma  now hides her passionate side until a younger man than her husband comes along into her life. Causing a stir within her to waken. Crispin Finn may be the one man to right her world. He lost a woman to his brother who was forced into a life that he never wanted. A brilliant and well story that will capture readers hearts. The characters are easy to relate to and the compelling novel will keep readers turning the pages until the very last page has been read. Hot, entertaining, and warming romance unlike most. Enticing is the way Jess Michaels writes hooking readers in from the beginning. I fell in love with both Gemma and Crispin.
