Review: Rugged Texas Cowboy

Synopsis:

Two HOT cowboys. Two tough-as-spurs heroines. Two steamy romances in one book that will leave readers breathless…and begging for more.

COWBOY AND THE CAPTIVE

Melina is one of two gorgeous twin daughters, the clever and considerate one who always spared her parents the humiliation of what her sister Maria had wrought. But now, Melina is finally ready to stand up for herself and seize control of her life—until she is kidnapped by a cowboy, named Jardin, who is dead-set on settling the score with her family. There’s only one catch: In capturing Melina, this tough, rough, hunk of a man has actually found a way to unleash her greatest fantasies, body and soul. . .

COWBOY AND THE THIEF

Beautiful, spirited Angel Manning has always longed to experience the power of her ancestors’ most precious heirloom. Her mother once told her that the legendary Irish torque would lead Angel to the one man worthy of possessing her heart. But when Angel learns that her father, now a widower, has sold the torque to the notorious two-timer Jack Riley, she is furious. Of course she plans to take back what is rightfully hers, by whatever means necessary. But the fate of the ancient Druids works in mysterious ways. . .Could it be that this slick, smooth-talking cowboy was destined to satisfy Angel’s deepest desires all along?

Review:

The Rugged Texas Cowboy by Lora Leigh is an interesting collection of two novellas. I found myself blushing, laughing, and enjoying the characters’ as they developed. Heat is sure to be found here, as well as intrigue. Both stories were realistic. I found myself feeling frightened, worried, and happy for Melina in the first tale. The woman in the next one, Angel, is just as tough as the first one was. I loved how Lora Leigh captured these women and made them feel so real. Their heroes were believable, too. Tough, cocky, and sexy these men would make any woman faint on site. They weren’t expecting the women they found yet once they met, they couldn’t let them go.

Cowboy and the Captive was about a young twin sister whose parents never loved her. She was the good twin. Yet her parents were obsessed with Melina’s evil twin. The evil twin had both her parents hooked on her finger. Melina was harassed into accepting jail time for her twin sister. Now, after another bad time, Melina’s parents are asking her to take the rap once more for Maria. Melina was brutally tortured and raped in prison for taking the rap for her twin the first time. Her parents weren’t there to help her nor did they care. All they are about is the drugged up, no good daughter…and when Melina is kidnapped for her safety…her evil twin goes in search of her. To have her serve another prison term while she goes free again…only Maria wasn’t counting on two cowboys…especially, on Luc. Luc would give anything to keep Melina safe. She was his. Sweet, compassionate, and sexy as hell. Melina and Luc have a connection. He’ll fight like hell to save her.

Cowboy and the Thief is full of fiery heat. A woman who can level any man. The heat the comes off the pages is intense. Both feel a pull but due to the cowboy’s reputation, Angel doesn’t want anything to do with Jack. Jack is a love them and leave them kind of cowboy. Until he meet one woman he can’t stop thinking about…Angel. Angel and her Irish language and charm have Jack wanting her more. She wants a happily ever after…and Jack wants only a one time fling. Fun, intense, and charming. Lora Leigh has presented her hero, Jack, with a female that matches his compassion and challenges him as a man. I loved the playful banter between the two protagonists. Overall, The Rugged Texas Cowboy is a must read. Strong female characters with matching male protagonists. Hot, hilarious, and thrilling to read. Lora Leigh has always been one of my favorite romance novelists. In this book, readers can see why. Her teasing words, vivid scenes, and intensity of curiosity sucked me into this collection. The characters…are ones that tugged at my heart and made me smile throughout the pages. I highly recommend this contemporary romance to readers everywhere.

Review:

No Getting Over a Cowboy by Delores Fossen is a hot read. I definitely recommend this book to be added to readers summer list. They’re sexy cowboys, determined women, matchmaking moms, and danger. I was hooked. Intrigued. Old lovers meet again under different circumstances. Women leased an old house on the Wrangler Creek Ranch to use for widows. Garrett Wrangler hasn’t been the same since he lost his daughter as a stillborn and the fact that his wife ran away. She cheated on him with a ranch hand. Then, there was her act blown up as a scandal everywhere. Business trouble for the Wrangler family. If that isn’t enough then, there’s the dead body found in the old house on the ranch. Plus, Garrett’s old love interest is being targeted for money…

Lust, love, death, and risks are on every page. No Getting Over a Cowboy is correct. Nicky Marlow can’t get over Garrett. In fact, he’s still attracted to her as well. Excitement, adventure, and heat. I loved it. The Wrangler family members were funny. They brought humor to the story. Sweet, sexy, and well-done. This tale was a page turner. Delores Fossen surely know how to keep a reader addicted to her books. Overall, I highly recommend it to readers everywhere.

Review: Back in the Saddle

Synopsis:

The Prodigal Is Coming Home
It’s been a long time since Colt Stafford shrugged off his cowboy legacy for shiny Manhattan loafers and a promising career on Wall Street. But when stock market manipulations leave him financially strapped, the oldest son of legendary rancher Sam Stafford decides to return to the sprawling Double S ranch in Gray’s Glen, Washington. He’s broke, but not broken, and it’s time to check in with his ailing father, and get his legs back under him by climbing into the saddle again.

He doesn’t expect to come home to a stranger pointing a loaded gun at his chest— a tough yet beautiful woman that Sam hired as the house manager. Colt senses there’s more to Angelina Morales than meets the eye and he’s determined to find out what she’s hiding…and why.

Colt’s return brings new challenges. Younger brother Nick has been Sam’s right-hand man at the ranch for years and isn’t thrilled at having Colt insert himself into Double S affairs. And the ranch’s contentious relationship with the citizens of Gray’s Glen asks all the Stafford men to examine their hearts about what it truly means to be a neighbor. And as Wall Street recovers, will Colt succumb to the call of the financial district’s wealth and power—or finally the courage to stay in the saddle for good?

Review:

Back in the Saddle by Ruth Logan Herne is a clean romantic tale that swept me off my feet. I love anything featuring sexy cowboys, horses, and unexpected romances. This book has it all. Past that continues to haunt the charcaters, faith, and forgiveness. Anything impossible is possible after all.

Ruth Logan Herne brings readers Colt Stanford. A cowboy returning to his family’s ranch after his career in the city plunges. Returning home seems like a good idea until he finds himself between a gorgeous woman and her gun. Talk about surprises! Getting back in the saddle may prove harder than Colt thought. Then, there’s Angelina Morales who intrigues the cowboy. There is a lot more to her than she lets off…

Back in the Saddle is exciting, intriguing, and sweet. I loved reading it. Ruth Logan Herne created three-dimensional characters that pulled at my heart. I felt like I was transported straight into their world. Believable, engaging, and well-written. This writer, is indeed talented. I couldn’t stop reading this book. Review: Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch

Synopsis:

Complete Stand Alone/No Cliffhanger

I slept with the wrong twin.
And all I got for it in return was a broken heart.

Oh yeah, and a baby on the way–there’s that too.

But I’m determined to make it on my own. I don’t need a man, thank you very much. Not rich, charismatic, and decidedly flighty Rex Roosevelt, and especially not his twin brother, Justin.

No matter that the gorgeous former military doctor makes my heart beat a little faster . . . and all spots lower than that pay careful, careful attention.

None of that matters. The Roosevelt men are dangerous and I’m steering clear.

The trouble is, Justin refuses to leave me be.

And deep down, I don’t want to avoid him.

Deep down, I want to be even closer.

Review:

Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch by Elise Faber is hot, steamy, and exciting! I loved it. The characters are swoon worthy. Sexy, smart, and funny too. The leading male character is internally flawed but despite those flaws he’s the man every woman wants in her life. Meet Justin Roosevelt. The older brother of the man who knocked up an employee and left. Justin comes back to handle the family ranch. Once he’s back, he meets a woman who pulls at his heart. She does the unlikely and pukes all over his shoes and clothes. The most embarrassing moment but also the moment when Justin’s realizes her situation. Her love for horses has lead her back into Justin’s life. From there the shocking truth takes them on a beautiful journey. I loved the brickering between characters. Justin is the hero who is strong enough to handle any stubborn woman…and that one stubborn woman has him so tangled up inside he’s not sure to give into his heart or play it safe. The female character yer was easy to relate as well. Her situation was believable. Her spunky no sugar coated talk made her real. Readers with a fondness for animals and comedy will love this sweet romance. Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch is a must read for all. I highly recommend Elise Faber’s  novel to readers everywhere.

Review:

Drawn to a Cowboy by Fifi Flowers is another brilliant masterpiece by this talented writer. I love her books. The characters are created with just the right amount or realism to make them believable. Sexy heroes and a strong heroine. A combination that I love.

Here, inside Drawn to a Cowboy, two characters meet by chance. Boy does fate have things in store for them. Neither character planned on it but both will be stuck like glue. Fiesty, addictive, and sweet. Who knew a cowboy would come to an artist’s recuse by offering her a job at his ranch. Once he makes the offer, he’s not sure how or what will transpire next. But the heat turns up higher with every page. The undeniable attraction will keep readers turning the pages. The sexy cowboy has just presented one woman a chance that she will have to risk. His good looks have her thoughts all jumbled but what happens next is amazing. Fifi Flowers has created a romance, readers can’t resist. Her writing is definitely out of this world…as well as an exciting plot that moves by quickly and tempting situations that readers love. Overall, I highly recommend this beautiful engaging romance to all.

Review:

No Way Up by Mary Connealy is by far the most heated, intriguing and clean romance that I have read. The heat and chemistry send off enough sparks to light a fire. There’s enough sibling rivalry that left me laughing so hard. Danger is found on every page. The plot is fast-paced.  I enjoyed following a story that involved a family being brought together again. Family, courage, love, and faith are all themes of this riveting novel. I found myself lost within the pages instantly.

This was the first novel, I have read by Mary Connealy. Her talent is raw and impressive to all. The characters are so different from each other but hold the same values. The life threatening situation of a father having been seriously injured and may not live…the siblings are now, left to full-fill their father’s wishes. If they don’t the land, money, and all will go to a much hated and despised family member. Then, there’s a ranch hand who has fallen in love with the boss’s daughter. But until the accident with her father, the woman hasn’t spent much thoughts on him. After all, he’s just a lowly cowhand. But once the danger has crept upon them all, the lowly cowhand stayed to help the family. A family that has grown to respect him. Learning how family life worked, the cowhand now thinks of trying to go back to see his brothers. But first, they must all live through the danger and even lay out their hearts. Will they survive or fall apart? Overall, I highly recommend No Way Up to all. A Christian romance that readers won’t want to miss.

Book Review: West Winds of Wyoming by Caroline Fyffe

Caroline Fyffe’s  novel, West Winds of Wyoming, is a must read! A perfect romantic read that will have every reader falling in love! The plot instantly drew me into the book! The characters were so realistic that I found myself easily connecting with them and their troubles. Oh, yes, that’s right! Nell and Charlie both have their own problems. Nell is struggling with threats from the bank and protecting her ranch in Wyoming. Charlie moves to Wyoming wanting an escape from danger and a place to raise his blind daughter safely. But soon, as their fall deeper in love with each other, their troubles come chasing after them. Will they survive without their romance being destroyed from their own problems? Or will their troubles send them far apart? What happens to Nell’s ranch and to Charlie’s blind daughter?
I found this story very interesting and full of passion! I love when the characters resemble two ordinary people living the  regular lives like the rest of us. It was refreshing and enjoyable to read! I highly recommend reading Caroline Fyffe’s novel, West Winds of Wyoming! I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars!

Book Review: What A Bride Wants by Kelly Hunter

What A Bride Wants is a stunning hot romance like no other! Once you pick up this novel, you won’t want to put it down! I enjoyed reading this novel by Kelly Hunter. The female character was strong, straight forward, and sassy. Especially when Ella’s love interest Cameron walked into her life. For him it was just one look into her eyes and her bright personality that melted his heart. All it took was on look at Cameron and his broad shoulders and his cute dimples to melt her insides away. Cameron is wealthy like Ella and her father but his life comes with baggage. His older brother Richard is a rapist, a stalker, and a thief. Richard has ruined Camreon’s parents family brewery and is now a wanted man. Richard went after one woman that Cameron fell in love with. Will he go after Ella too? Will Cameron be able to save Ella and stop his brother? And what happens with his parents’ business? I highly recommend all readers to read on and find out what happens! I rate this novel a 5 out of 5 stars!
