Review:

The Prophecy by Petra Landon is an urban fantasy readers don’t want to miss. I found myself deeply engaged page after page. The plot is intriguing. It has action, adventure, and romance. Inside, readers will find charcaters that vary from vampires to shape shifters. There’s a great cast of paranormal beings to love. The mystery was well-done. Kept me on my toes constantly.

Petra Landon has phenomenal skills. Her characters dragged me out of this world and straight into theirs. I loved it. The Prophecy is the first novel to this new series. I can’t wait to read the next book. Here, there’s a prophecy that will divide the main character’s people apart. This prophecy, causes competition among the paranormal beings for power. A wizard informs Tasia Armstrong of it. It’s up to her to solve this 25-year-old mystery before things get worse. Deadly secrets and a fantasy that will keep readers entertained. I couldn’t stop reading it. The beginning is a tad bit slow but other than that it speed up quickly. Overall, I recommend The Prophecy to readers worldwide.

Review: Nightlord Sunset

Synopsis:

Eric didn’t ask to be a vampire. In fact, he didn’t even believe in them. Then he meets a beautiful woman, wakes up with a hangover, and bites his tongue with his own fangs.
Which pretty much settles the question.

Now he’s trying to hold down his day job while learning the rules of the Undead — the most important being that bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts are a real bitch.
Upside; Eric has the beautiful Sasha to teach him the ropes, including the magic he’ll need to survive.

Downside; they’re being hunted by members of the Church of Light, who are determined to rid the world of vampires.

When Sasha is killed, and Eric is thrust into an alternate world in his quest to avenge her death. There he becomes a Nightlord, fights a dragon with the help of his magical steed, Bronze, and upchucks a sword named Firebrand.
But things get really interesting when Eric finally finds Tobias, head of the Church of Light. Soon Eric finds himself at the center of an epic battle at the literal edge of the world in a fight to keep a terrible darkness at bay.

Review:

Nightlord Sunset by Garon Whited is a quite interesting. It involves the typical paranormal kind, vampires. Except from there things are not so normal. A human being sleeps with a beautiful woman, and the next he knows is that his life has changed forever. He has been turned. A vampire who needs to learn quickly how to survive. The beauty he slept with, helps him until she has been killed. Hunted down by another group. The new vampire, Eric, will go get his revenge only to face more obstacles. Every page kept me guessing. I didn’t know what the main character would do or what the others were planing. Yet the further I went the more, I was dragged from my seat into this fictional world. Compelling, suspenseful, and engaging. Garon Whited knew how to keep his readers hooked. The ending of this tale, is keeping me lured for the next adventure. Overall, I recommend this fast-pacedread to all.

Review:

Once again, Rita Dimitra has lured me into her world of fiction. Vampires, death, and love. I love how the male character doesn’t give up on his woman. He goes after what he wants. And that is Selena D’Agostino. Yet, she fled him and her relatives. She now, is settled. But then she sees what appeared to be her lover. Kieran. He’s a vampire. She’s still a human. Yet she only has the power of forcing him to allow her to be in power…sometimes. He love for her is so strong that he asks her something that she is most afraid of…death. Will death be the end or will it be the start of her new life with Kieran? Intriguing, addictive, and masterfully woven. Selena’s Requiem is a powerful story just like the first if not stronger. This is one romance that I highly recommend to readers everywhere.

Review: The Blood Waltz

img_0315

Synopsis:

Selena D’Agostino needed a vacation. So when she received a mysterious invitation from England to meet long-lost relations at their family castle, it seemed just the ticket.

But nothing could have prepared her for what she would find there. Not only were her newfound relatives not what they seemed . . . it soon became clear that they were not about to let her leave.

And perhaps the most frightening of all was her overwhelming attraction to the seductive, enigmatic Kieran Ramsey, who bore an eerie resemblance to a 400-year-old portrait that hung in the castle . . . a man of dark secrets, with an insatiable thirst for blood and a lust for Selena’s soul that would not be denied.

Rating: 5 stars

Review:

The Blood Waltz by Rita Dimitra is quite an interesting tale. This isn’t the norm for a detective mystery nor for a vampire story. Yet this book combines both in just the right amounts. Rita Dimitra’s novel is the perfect one to read for this Halloween. It’s dark, edgy, and sends chills down my spine. There’s is a romance inside…everything about it is unusual. Secrets, family, and a Gothic spun tale. Readers will be intrigued from the first page to the last. A vacation to visit family turns out to be a major life changer for the heroine. Her life as she knows it was simple and easy. Now, attending a castle the relatives she finds are much more than the normal way. So much history and mystery surround them all. Yet Selena, the main character, feels a draw to find out more. Curiosity is a weakness or in this case could it be a strength? The Blood Waltz is absolutely enchanting. I loved it. Overall, I recommend it to all.

That is until she meets Gordon, a crazed demon with a conscience. Review:

Follow the Ashes by Kindra Sowder is a must read for all. Talk about an amazing plot that is fast-paced, full of adventure, action, and heat. For every paranormal lover out there…this is the book to have. I was instantly taken in by the story and swept into the journey ahead.  This riveting tale contains some similarities to my all-time favorite paranormal reads. Here, is a leading female protagonist trying to live her life and fight the things that would give us all nightmares. LA seems like the place where all the dark paranormal beings like to live…and where the good battle them at every corner. Some paranormal beings are good. Like her caretaker, Gordon. He is a demon but one that is a good guy. It will prove hard not to fall for Kindra Sowder’s characters. Brilliant writing that masterfully weaved a tale worth every reader’s wish. Evil is in full. Vampires are definitely found in this novel, and I couldn’t be any happier. Once this book is opened…readers like myself will be pulled in deep. Or sucked in whole. Beware the writer’s talent will have readers breathless, excited, and begging for more. Overall, Follow the Ashes is highly recommend to readers everywhere. I look forward to reading more by Kindra Sowder in the future.

Review:

The Alphas’ Bliss by G.J. Cox is a sensational masterpiece that instantly hit home with me. I was immediately blown away by the strong male and female characters. G.J. Cox’s writing is superb. Anyone that opens up any one of her novels knows this…no matter what genre she experiments with…this talented writer can succeed at such levels that readers will feel a tug to her writing and characters. The scenes pop off the pages and once again the characters are definitely three-dimensional. Inside this particular novel, G.J. Cox wrote her first paranormal contemporary romance packed with several surprises. One such surprise is having two alpha males from different sides that are also best friends find their mate…the issue is that both claim she’s their mate. What happens next sent me on a thrilling journey and wild choose chase as the victim and alphas searched for the suspects. Suspects because the danger is so close to home that it’s frightening. The strength of the males is intoxicating…and the heat packed inside is scorching hot. So hot I felt myself blushing as I race to turn the pages in haste to finish reading it all. Overall, I loved this new title and was amazed by the raw beauty of the story at hand. Sure many will say it’s just a romance novel packed with lots of sex, but those who really read this will find that it’s so much more than just that. I felt the characters’ emotions as though I were te only one experiencing the fear, the tears, and the heightened pleasure…a crazy but fun filled world that over took me senses from page one.

Leslie the Slayer

Growing up, I had to learn how to fight without using weapons. My parents had me taking gymantics, ballet, dance, theater and many other things. Of course these all seem harmless and perfectly normal right? Well, it’s more than meets the eye. My parents had me enrolled in all those things for a reason. I also took swim classes as well.To anyone else, I was just an over active normal bright student. However, no one knew the real me know why I did all the things I do.

It’s not like I can go around junior shouting, “I’m a vampire slayer!”

I should receive an award and plague for that but that’s not ever going to happen. No one knows there are vampires living among us humans. Only the slayers do. My family happens to have generations among generations of them. All we are is a big family of normal people who make it their life’s choice to go after vamps. Wow, so interesting. We can’t even share how many vamps we slayed with anyone without them thinking we’re nuts. Unlless, you really want to be locked up in a psych ward somewhere or with many endless conversations with a doctor who is clueless that there really are blood sucking meancing vamps around.

Usually, one can find them at grave yards. My life since I was five was all about training and training me to be a slayer. I officialy don’t get the title until I turn the sweet sixteen. Lucky me. At least, I have two years before then. Or so I thought.

All my hope vanished when the new guy arrived in school. His family is extremely wealty for the live up in the old mansion that no body else could afford. His parents are supposedly in real estate. But, I have seen the homes here and most are filled or going to stay vacant. It would take tearing down and rebuilding some of the vacant homes to sell the lots. Now, unless his parents were going to adopt those homes as their new pet project they had to be making money in some other ways. Like drugs or something…

“Hey, Lise. Have you seen the new guy?!” Avery was pretty much head over heels over the new guy and it’s only his first day.

“Yeah, so what?” I didn’t care. I wasn’t looking to make buddies with a stranger. Slayers have rules.

#1 Never ever approach a stranger unless you know everything about them first.

This is to keep from dying at the hands of a possible vamp.

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. I am also a tech geek. The kind that wears the big black rimmed classes, with my shoulder length burnette curls. I always wear my hear up in either a bun or pony tail. I have been made fun of by guys at school for looking like a librarian. Yeah, boys are so mature…

“So, what?!” Her extreme disappointment in my joy of seeing the new guy was going to have to wait until lunch.

“Yeah, so what. Anyways, see ya at luch, Avery.”

Walking towards my computer science course, I had a bad feeling develop inside my gut. My gut was always right. So, what could possible go wrong? Little did I know it would have to do with having the new guy being assigned to partner with me. How am I ever going to live this day up with Avery? She’ll want to know everything about the new…and as it turns….so do I.
